Kidpreneurs, Not Just Bake Sales

“Get your education so you can get a good job.”  Every parent’s hope is to raise a well educated, well paid son or daughter.  In this downturn, we may be improving their chances of becoming financially stable if we encourage them to think about becoming business owners and entrepreneurs.  No one wants a stressed out kid who has no time to play, but by encouraging young people to think about owning businesses, they can use their youth and enthusiasm to have fun express their originality.  Today we are all learning to rely more on our own ideas and talents.  At a minimum, let’s think about raising kidpreneurs (kid entrepreneurs).  Otherwise all we’re teaching them about raising money is to have another bake sale.
