My team came across this carnival looking advertisement. I like that it says “unlock your future” and has the word “fortune” on it. It was an antique advert for Gypsy Dolores who would promise to tell a person’s future for a few coins. To a financial educator, the sign is a great reminder that the power to unlock your FINANCIAL future is in YOUR hands.
Sure the unexpected happens in life – but we have more routine uneventful days than the shocking ones. Even if it is Halloween month.
Getting back to the wonderful financial lesson in the sign, the five fingers are a great money management teaching tool. Even children from a young age enjoy playing with fingers. Here’s a fun formula for unlocking the financial future of your dreams – it’s already in your hands. Now put it in theirs.
Left hand fingers:
Make money
Accumulate money
Donate, donate, donate
Emergency fund
Save money
Right hand fingers:
Mange money
Allocate assets
Donate
Education
Spend wisely
That’s the formula that even my youngest students learn about money. Two hands working together will help you create a financially stable future. There are many activities that correlate to the financial literacy common core. Early financial education does not have to be an option!
We have a fun financial literacy curriculum that goes with the hands – and lots of fun activities to make the lessons robust and shareable. It’s more enjoyable to learn about money in fun and interesting ways than it is to learn the hard way.
Knock Knock!
Who’s there?
Costas.
Costas who?
Costas a fortune to get here.

What a great analogy of the two hands working together. Candi makes learning about money fun. “Can I Have Some Money? is a great kid money book series. Great job. As always. Thanks
