Summer feels like endless sun and fun, until it suddenly ends! Mine was filled with graduations, relatives, weddings, picnics and WORK – good, positive and productive days, just to make sure I wasn’t having too much fun.
There were new books to be written, new clients to be seen, planning for the classroom – and I still had time to dream! In saying “so long to the Summer” I wiped away a tear… then checked in with the “experts” on the end of this special time of year.
“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” ~ Dr. Seuss
“People don’t notice whether it’s winter or summer when they’re happy.” ~ Anton Chekhov
“Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.” ~ Sam Keen
“Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence. Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance. Autumn passes and one remembers one’s reverence. Winter passes and one remembers one’s perseverance.” ~ Yoko Ono
“What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness.” ~ John Steinbeck
“One must maintain a little bit of summer, even in the middle of winter.” ~ Henry David Thoreau
I hope you all had a great summer – now it’s harvest time! Welcome to the Fall!
